Rob Heaney has been a mainstay of the Montreal recording industry for over 25 years. He’s tracked, mixed and produced music of all genres, from independent artists to major labels collecting Gold, Platinum and Triple Platinum CD projects to his credit. In addition to music recordings, he is a scoring engineer in film and television working with critically acclaimed composers which includes James Gelfand and Benoit Jutras. Creativity, innovation, experience and dedication have allowed Heaney to remain at the helm as primary engineer for Cirque du Soleil since 1994. He engineered, mixed and produced the original music for the 2012 3D theatrical release, “Cirque du Soleil: Worlds Away”.

Throughout this tenure, he’s travelled the world, recording live shows and studio sessions for CD, DVD and cinema, with orchestras and choirs in far flung cities including New York, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Toronto, Prague, Budapest, Rome and London.

Among many other industry citations, this JUNO nominee has amassed eleven ADISQ nominations, is a five time recipient of the ADISQ “Engineer of the year” award, and has earned a “Creative Excellence Award” from Scotch 3M Brand.
